Christine Torre

Homeschooling mother of five, Christine Torre has a passion for encouraging parents to finish the home school race strong. With fourteen years of experience behind her, she joyfully testifies that the high school years have been the most fun. She is the founder and director of a 75 family home school co-op and former director of Forsyth Christian Home Educators. As a frequent speaker and consultant on such topics as record keeping, transcripts, college and test preparation, Christine enjoys helping others successfully through the high school years. Her annual Dual Enrollment Expo unites hundreds of parents and students with colleges seeking to recruit home school students. She and her husband, Tom, host weekly robotics clubs, SAT prep groups and upper level science clubs for high school students. Together they have home schooled two teens into college and are working on the third. Christine humorously shares their journey and what you can do to avoid the mistakes they made!

Debbie Strayer

Debbie received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from Florida State University and is an experienced public school teacher and mentor of younger teachers. She is the former editor and co-founder of Homeschooling Today™ magazine, the author of Gaining Confidence to Teach, one of the co-authors of the Learning Language Arts Through Literature series, and editor of The Homeschool Answer Book by Dr. Ruth Beechick.

George Burford

George Burford is a graduate of West Chester University of Pennsylvania. He has a Masters degree in Athletic Administration and over 30 years of experience teaching and coaching students from elementary school to the college level. He is also a CFE Certified Financial Educator® Instructor, and College Planning Consultant for the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, The Heartland Institute of Financial Education, headquartered in Aurora, Colorado. Through his involvement in coaching high school and college athletics programs, George recognizes the value in students and parents taking strategic steps to maximize chances for acceptance into the college of their choice and “mitigate” the high cost of college.

Waynette Cozad

Waynette Cozad is a devoted wife and mother to three grown sons. She and her husband, Richard, an A Beka Book home school representative, live in southeast Louisiana and began homeschooling in 1994. They have had the pleasure of watching each of their sons graduate as a homeschooler. For the last 7 years, she has enjoyed traveling full-time with her husband and passing on her experiences to other families. Her 18 years of experience teaching and homeschooling with A Beka Book give her insight into the blessings a complete curriculum can be to homeschooling families.

Meredith Curtis

Meredith Curtis, pastor’s wife and homeschooling mom of five amazing children, has been married to her college sweetheart for 26 years. She loves Jesus, leads worship, homeschools, writes, mentors ladies, and, sometimes, even cooks dinner!

Meredith wants to encourage homeschooling families to be joyful and successful in their homeschool adventures, all the way to high school graduation!

Michael St. Denis

Michael was home-schooled for his entire life. He played football for the North Georgia Falcons, a home-school team in suburban Atlanta. Michael played four seasons of varsity football for coach Roger McDaniel of the Falcons and served three years as team captain. Michael played center, tight end and on the defensive line in high school and also played one year of basketball. Mike was the 2005 football team captured the NACA?Division 4 national championship. His 2004 team won the state Georgia Football League championship. Michael went on to play offensive line for Georgia Tech. Michael graduated and was hired as an offensive line coach for the Georgia State University Panthers football team. Michael currently coaches offensive line for Decatur High School and leads the youth ministry at All Souls Fellowship Church in Decatur.

Originally from Roswell, GA, Mike graduated from Georgia Tech in December 2011 with a degree in Psychology. Mike is currently attending Reformed Theological Seminary in Marietta.

David Webb

David Webb is co-author of the What We Believe series, Apologia’s acclaimed biblical worldview curriculum for ages 6 to 14. As a longtime veteran of Christian publishing, he has developed books and resources alongside many of today’s leading Christian writers, including Randy Alcorn, Joshua Harris, Shaunti Feldhahn, Andy Stanley, Bruce Wilkinson, Coach Joe Gibbs, and Dr. James Dobson. Prior to his publishing career, David worked in the motion picture industry and was a leader in adult education in Los Angeles. Today, David serves as executive editor for Apologia Educational Ministries. His books with John Hay of Summit Ministries include Who Is God? (And Can I Really Know Him?), Who Am I? David and his wife, Peggy, have homeschooled their six children since 1990.
